The M.S. in Biotechnology, Innovation and Computation (MSBIC) will be phased out when all of its current students have graduated. A new successor program, the M.S. in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation (MSAII), is beginning in the fall term of 2018.  Prof. John Vu, Director of the MSBIC, is retiring at the end of 2018.  We are pleased that he has agreed to continue to teach in the MSBIC prgram until he retires.  Distinguished Career Professor Michael Shamos will be the Director of both the MSBIC and MSAII programs.  The program change was made to reflect the interests of current students, potential applicants and employers and to match up with the role of Carnegie Mellon as a world leader in artificial intelligence.  To learn more about this program, see our About page.
